Thinking of You

Hello Everyone.
Whew, this month is quickly coming to a close and I wanted to show you this card before it gets any later.

My bow was made using my Craft-Dee BowZ tool.

Using that tool made it so easy to use the pink satin ribbon I had on hand.

This tool is the only tool I ever use to make all the bows you see here on my site.
This tool is easy to use, small and easy to store, is portable and there are a lot of videos to guide you thru the bow making process if you are a visual learner. (like me)
It does come with instructions as well.
Need one?? Click here to order yours over on the Craft-Dee BowZ site (it's on the left sidebar).

Recently I received a new stamp/die set from Heartfelt Creations, the Camelia Carnations.
I stamped the carnation flowers, used the dies to cut them out and also used the flower press to give them shape (personality as I call it)
So I decided that besides the bow and the clock, some handmade flowers would be a great accent.
These turned out perfect.

Also, the leaves turned out to be the perfect size to use as the hands on the clock.
(Check that out above in the first picture)

Well, that's it for now. I will be back Thursday with another project for Craft-Dee BowZ.

In the meantime, have a great week!!!

Thinking of You

Hello friends,

Do you believe it, January is already more than half over.
And guess what!!! its time for the next challenge over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.

The sponsor for this challenge is The Paper Shelter

and I am using

I just fell in love with this image as soon as I saw it.
The papers and images available at The Paper Shelter are all so beautiful.
Hope you check out their site and look at all the things available.
You are sure to find something to use for that project you might be working on.

Here is a better side angle view.
I popped up those butterflies in the circles for some added dimension.

Digital papers are so nice to work with. That background paper is one of the ones in this set.
I love the color coordination of her sets. Takes some of the thinking out of the equation.

This was a fun card to make. I hope you’ve enjoyed today's project.
Hope you will submit a project in the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends challenge.
Don’t forget the theme is always Anything Goes.

Have a great week

Merry Christmas - Late

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

The new year, 2018,  has begun. WOW!!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or whatever holiday you celebrate.

Since it is the beginning of a new year, it's time to get back into the crafting groove
and what better way to start it off, than with the Craft-Dee BowZ monthly challenge.

The sponsor this month is Beccy's Place.

Beccy's Place digi's are sold in sets and she has a great selection to choose from.

The digi I am using is called the Christmas Lantern.
I have had this digi for a while and I just love it. The flowers and the holly really accent this image.
I embossed the background and lightly rubbed a little gray ink to just highlight that embossed area.
I used the Merry Christmas sentiment, but Happy New Year would be appropriate as well.

I colored the lantern and flowers and then I printed another image and cut another holly section to use over the flower section.  I offset the flowers at the bottom of the lantern for added dimension. Next, I added flowers and more holly leaves to the top right to balance out the card.

The handmade bow is made using sheer ribbon.
Using my personal favorite ribbon to make the bow with.
I made a double loop bow.

And I used my Craft-Dee BowZ tool, to make my bow.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my project.
Hope you will link a project in the Craft-Dee BowZ monthly challenge.
Don’t forget the theme every month is always Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow.
