Stitched with Love

Hi Everyone,
Welcome back. Today I have another card in the sewing theme, this time using stamps from set 461 Sew Fabulous.  I mentioned my mom was a wonderful seamstress and she had a sewing machine just like the one on my card. In fact I still have it. It's a portable one and it has its own case. Back then they weren't plastic, they were wood.

In making this card I actually got my sewing machine out to stitch up the quilt I made from different squares of designer paper/card stock.I used 2 different decorative stitches on the quilt. Again memories of my mom flooded back as I worked on this card. I think she was here with me as I completed it.

Well that is it for today. Thanks so much for taking time from your busy schedule to visit. Have a great day, see you soon.

You're an Original

Hi Everyone
Hope you are staying cool and having a great weekend!!  Have you seen the latest stamps from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I just received mine and they are "sew" great, (pun intended, LOL).The newest set is sewing related and I bet you know a seamstress in your group of friends.

I was so excited when these were previewed to the DT. So here is the card I made using the stampette set, Vintage Boutique, set 460.

I just had a blast making this card. My mother was a great seamstress and would have loved this set. Making this card brought thoughts of my Mom back to me.

I will have another card for you to see on Tuesday, so stop back in for that.

Courage Strength and the Tiger

Hi Everyone,
Sparkle N Sprinkle just recently introduced a new stamp set. It's set 466 Wild Cats. And I particularly love this set because I have always loved cats, wild or domestic. I have 3 tabbies right now, one looks like Morris the Cat.

Anyway, I have had this set on my work table and have just got to it. (I am digging out) I worked this up last night and thought I'd share this with you.

The designer paper I used has that African tree already on it and it just adds to the African flavor of this card, don't you think??!!?

Here are the elements I used in designing this card:
Tiger 3657-466K
Courage Set of 4 3656-466H
Spellbinders Dies- Classic Circles S4-116
¼” Tear-ific Tape   SAT01
Black Detail EP  EP171
Copic Markers – COPICA1 – G21, R81
VersaMark Ink – 99702
Sponge Daubers - 99450
All of the above products are available at the Sparkle N Sprinkle online store, just click here to go there.
Other products used:
Card stock/Paper: Cream CS, Brown CS, Designer Paper
Fresco Dye Ink – Tuscan Earth
Gold Leaf Pen

Well that is it for today, have a great week

Cornish Heritage Farms Challenge

Hi Everyone

It's time for the next CHF challenge. This challenge is being hosted by ubber talented Cindy. The theme she decided on is Pearls and Lace. I personally love pearls, I usually am always wearing a pearl.

With that theme in mind here is what I decided on:

I used the sweetest digi stamp 450R Fairy Dance
She is so cute.
I used Copic Markers and non smear chalks to color the image and the background.
The swirls are cut from a Sizzix die and I added pearls from Fab Scraps.
The bling  is from Recollections.
All of the die cuts are from Spellbinders.
The lace is from - unknown
Background is embossed

We'd love for you to play along

Happy Fathers Day

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I've been getting ready for a class at Stampaway in August. I know, August is a ways off,  but I have almost 40 people in the class and there are 3 projects. Whew that's a lot of cutting. I will be making a total of 50 kits per project just in case someone boo boo's. Plus as I look at my schedule between now and August, I will be out of town for 4-5 days attending CHA, and other things as well. I will be sharing pic's from CHA so you can see what I saw on the floor. It's gonna be fun.

In case you didn't know it, I do have another blog, ippitydoda, and have some new posts over there. So you may want to check those out.

I will be back later this week with some new stamps from Sparkle N Sprinkle, and on Tuesday I have a post for Cornish Heritage Farms. So I've been busy "behind the scenes" as they say. LOL

Hope to see you over at my ippity blog
Have a great Sunday.

Baby Shower Invitation

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are having a great weekend so far.

A friend of mine is hosting a baby shower and I made the invitations for her. She said the baby's room is brown and teal and there are owls in the room, so here is what I came up with that fit the bill perfectly.

The onesie is the perfect card. I cut it out of white CS and then recut the colored CS. I added a cute owl to the front and these are ready. These open up to reveal the invitation inside. The 3 brads hold the card closed. These fit perfectly in a 5X7 envie.

Tomorrow will be the next challenge over at Cornish Heritage Farms. So you may want to stop back Tuesday to check out the next theme to get inspired and prepare to submit your card in the contest.

Thanks for stopping by. See you tomorrow.
